Principal Infrastructure Engineer (Automation Focused) in Des Moines, Iowa
Automate, Automate, Automate! Workspace Services is looking for a curious, DevSecOps engineer to help advance our technologies, services, and DevSecOps practices. We are seeking someone with savvy technical capability, an instinct to continue to grow & learn, and a passion for solving problems!
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other engineers to automate and deliver software and cloud-based solutions that contribute to a fabulous employee experience.
Here are few examples of things you’ll do:
Exposed to a variety of complex people, process, and technology problems related to employee workspace and cloud technologies, ranging from physical and virtual endpoints to cloud-based collaboration tools to telephony and audio/video conferencing technologies
Automate solutions to accelerate our adoption of cloud technologies, e.g. Microsoft O365 productivity suite.
Automate configuration compliance auditing and reporting for devices, infrastructure, and/or cloud platforms.
Develop understanding of technical aspects of infrastructure management functions including performance, capacity, scalability, recovery, maintenance and security.
Automate infrastructure and device provisioning, configurations, and operations.
Integrate cloud and on premises technologies.
Identify and implement operational efficiencies.
We’re looking for someone with:
Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field)
Programming, scripting, or general automation experience (we use PowerShell and .NET often)
Planning, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required
DevOps experience preferred (ex: Github and CI/CD pipelines)
Additional preferred technical experience:
Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS
Security engineering mentality
Location
