AECOM Industrial Hygiene / EHS Support Specialist in Des Moines, Iowa

AECOM has a position available for an Industrial Hygiene / EHS Support Specialist located in one of the following offices: Milwaukee, WI; Middleton, WI; Minneapolis, MN; Des Moines, IA; Chicago, IL or any other AECOM office located in that region.
The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Support clients project SHE audits
Project Safety Management and Industrial Hygiene tasks
Support Environmental and safety efforts at client sites in the region
Under supervision, responsible for complex technical work in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with EHS standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Develop expert knowledge of specific government agency requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health programs, systems and procedures.
Monitor and prevent hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area.
Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures and operating equipment to minimize hazards.
Conduct Phase I environmental site assessments.
Assist clients with environmental permitting activities, including SWPPP and SPCC plan development.
Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.

BA/BS degree and 2+ years of relevant experience required or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Regional travel required up (25% - 50%)
BS degree, preferably in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or similar
PSM (Project Safety Management) and/or IH (Industrial Hygiene) experience, or willingness to cross train
