This is a critical role to plan and execute critical assurance and monitoring activities for the entire Home Lending business to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo policies. This leader will work across Home Lending and coordinate with the home lending leadership team to design and execute effective self-assurance programs to identify and mitigate risk in accordance with industry leading

Specifically, this leader will:

  • Devise a strategy and structure to ensure complete and coordinated coverage of Home Lending Assurance requirements.

  • Design the assurance program to ensure it is risk based and effective at detecting and preventing risk/issues and identify deficiencies in business processes

  • Improve execution efficiency utilizing industry leading techniques to propel testing strategies forward through the deployment of automation utilizing data driven, advance listening and other types of technology

  • Accountable for effective and timely coverage and responses to risk events and commitments

  • Ensure tools and staffing are adequate to support activities inclusive of rapid development, deployment and change management practices

  • Provide oversight and adherence to all Corporate and Servicing Governance Quality Assurance policies.

  • Lead a team that collaborates with the complex business units and provides expertise, consulting and assistance for projects and initiatives with high risk and also maintain business expertise to effectively perform their assurance and monitoring role

  • Effectively lead all aspects of change driven activities in a dynamic and complex matrixed organization

  • Recommend and communicate process improvement changes to business based upon quality review findings

  • Effectively interact with Risk, Compliance and Audit partners

  • Develop and retain quality talent by devising a talent approach to include hiring, development, and career progression for quality team members.

  • Caring, coaching and counseling for the team that does the work including an effective talent management approach

  • Demonstrate the Wells Fargo Vision and Values and lead their team by example

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in building and leading high performing, industry-leading customer focused teams in the financial services industry. This executive will have experience leading a best in class organization leveraging highly disciplined business, financial, operations, credit and risk management processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following functional areas: business process, quality assurance, strategic planning, or project management

  • 8+ years of management experience

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience with developing effective QA controls to mitigate operational risk.

  • Ability to identify trends and opportunities to improve business operation’s QA controls.

  • Seasoned with identifying risk issues and coordinating effective corrective action plans.

  • Experience presenting/delivering quality findings to various levels of management to include Senior Management.

  • Influential with the ability to drive implementation of process improvement.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner and deliver results in a complex matrix organization

  • Ensuring overall compliance with government regulations and company policies

  • Relationship building and ability to drive decision making through a consensus building approach

  • Demonstrated excellence at identifying stakeholders, understanding needs, and driving to resolution

  • Knowledge and understanding of driving change inclusive of project management and implementation in a financial services environment

  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications

  • Relationship building and ability to drive clear accountability and drive timely decision-making

Location:

  • Other Wells Fargo locations will be considered

Base salary range for this role is:

  • Min: $168,500

  • Mid: $240,000

  • Max: $312,000

Compensation package may include a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long-term incentives.

Job Expectations

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
