Job Brief

Provides timely technical and administrative support to the E-Payments, Cards and ATM, and Digital Banking teams and Electronic Banking management.

Job Summary:

The Electronic Banking Systems & Data Analyst will provide a professional and technical resource for the department’s related functions as they pertain to system configuration. This position will work closely with Electronic Banking Management to recommend, implement, and execute strategies surrounding system configuration, and analyzing department data. The position will also assist with development and execution strategies by aligning the Bank’s business priorities along with the department’s business needs by analyzing data and identifying, proposing, documenting, and implementing process improvement and productivity enhancements that provide optimal internal and external customer experiences, as well as ensure system configuration standards are maintained and sound risk management decisions are commensurate with the business units risk appetite.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

• Provide configuration and/or day-to-day support for all systems managed and maintained by the department. Report on statistical observations to management on a regular basis to drive value and efficiency for the organization

• Continually work to improve system functionality and new product development. This should include scrubs to the system when changes or enhancements include system changes that require a different set up, new fields, etc.

• Serve as the Electronic Banking Department’s key resource for configuration of the Ops Ticketing System, Dispute platform, Clarity, SharePoint, Power BI (or other reporting tool), and Business Intelligence System (BIC). Additional systems include, but not limited to: CRM, Enterprise Portal, OnBase, etc.

• Provide internal, ongoing system/technical support to users, including training and maintaining proper system access for all roles

• Develop, test, and deploy customizations, custom objects and functionality based on evolving business needs

• Support and help manage the change management and release process for designated systems

• Maintain and support designated systems/applications for internal stakeholders

• Implement and maintain configurations and customizations of designated systems to meet the department’s business needs

• Manage ongoing data projects to deliver accurate data to a variety of teams, systems, and processes across the Electronic Banking Department. Projects will include a variety of areas such as efficiency initiatives, optimization, customer service, analytics, segmentation and more

• Responsible for interpreting data to recognize patterns and analyze trends

• Meet regularly with department managers and supervisors to discuss successes and opportunities

• Create and manage reports for related products and services accurately, timely, within budget, and in line with business goals

• Manage and maintain a statistical library of reports for the department. Support requests for new reports as needed

• Responsible for measuring/analyzing processing and service growth, key performance indicators (KPIs), and creating dashboards for areas such as new services, supported customers, processing volume, service/maintenance requests, etc.

• Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to recommend targeted strategies to effectively support new products and services, strengthen existing relationships, and improve operational efficiency

• Work with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements in order to build and develop reporting and analysis tailored to the needs of the project

• Work closely with management to prioritize business needs

• Analyze exceptions and service ticket reports to identify trends, root cause analysis and impact assessments for efficiency, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, and risk mitigation opportunities, then propose changes or identify additional training needs accordingly

• Participate in bank-wide initiatives to improve operational efficiencies

• Document system configurations, create user guides, and provide just-in-time training to users

• Build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure needs are clearly defined, communicated, and delivered at or above expectations

• Support management decisions. Provide a solid, team management mentality and support decisions that are made outside of our control with a positive attitude to all stakeholders, Operations Services staff and other bank employees

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert and/or Business Analyst on projects as needed

• Maintain knowledge of the ever changing and evolving industry trends, banking regulations (both domestic and international), new banking, payment, and currency technologies, etc.

• Be a designated system administrator for all systems and applications managed by the department, as well as a designed End User Authorization Contacts (EUAC) for the Bank’s Fedline Connections, ensuring the bank’s policies and/or guidelines are followed

• Assist with completing user audits of the designated authorized individuals to validate appropriate access levels are being maintained and are appropriate for their role

• Other duties assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Finance or relevant discipline (MIS, IT business/computer science and/or Accounting) desired, or equivalent related experience

• At least 5 years of experience researching and analyzing data preferred

• Experience in system configuration preferred

• Experience in the banking industry preferred

• Experience working with one or more of the following preferred: electronic payments (ACH, wire transfer, etc.), cards, ATMs or online banking
