Job DescriptionThe responsibilities of this role are as follows: Working in a team environment located in Des Moines IA., and communicating with Relationship Managers and Lenders located across the state.

Underwriting all forms of agriculture production credit, ranging from approximately $25MM -$100MM.

Conduct credit analyses including gathering, analyzing and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective agriculture customers and portfolios.

Input the data gathered into tracking and/or reporting computer systems and/or databases.

Monitor customer accounts and/or loan portfolios in order to identify potential issues and thereby maximize credit quality and minimize the company's credit risk and potential loss.

Prepare and present credit reports to colleagues who are responsible for maintaining control over the credit standings of accounts and portfolios and for making lending decisions on new, renewal and extension loans.

In some areas, this position may make credit decisions in a high-volume production environment.

Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience and/or direct experience working in agriculture activities. - Five or more years of experience in credit analysis and/or lending activities, or related experience in direct work in agriculture activities (row crop farming, livestock, hogs, creating budget review etc).

Preferred Skills/Experience - Strong preference for applicant with first hand working knowledge of farming and related farm activities. - Excellent credit analysis and analytical skills - Thorough knowledge of credit administration, policy and procedures - Thorough knowledge of economics, accounting, and finance - In-depth knowledge of risk analysis - Excellent technical report writing skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
