As a Content Marketing Consultant at Wellmark, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of elements that support Wellmark's content marketing strategy. You will be a storyteller and work much like a journalist works in finding and telling the right stories to meet audience expectations, while also supporting business goals. Your storytelling skills will be used across a broad range of communication channels. You will be expected to deliver work under some supervision and guidance while consulting across various teams within Wellmark to determine appropriate stories to tell. You will also develop communication strategies to be used and to facilitate creative delivery of assigned projects.

Bachelor's degree or direct and applicable work experience
2+ years of of previous experience in copy writing/editing and digital marketing, desktop/web publishing, digital development, or a related role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, such as Word, PowerPoint or Excel, SharePoint, InDesign, Dreamweaver, CMS software, Google Analytics and an aptitude to learn new software/technology quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders or teams.
Effective consulting skills and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to develop customer needs and develop solutions that meet expectations.
Ability to multi-task and proactive self-starter in a deadline-driven environment.
Effective planning, time management, prioritization, and organization skills. Ability to measure, evaluate, and refine work processes and project elements in order to achieve organizational goals while maintaining customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
Ability to work well within a corporate environment and support results through collaboration and strong interpersonal skills. Flexible and adaptable to change.
a. Consults with the Content Marketing Manager and Team Leader on the development of the content marketing strategy for assigned audience in support of Wellmark business goals and audiences content needs.
b. In collaboration with the Content Marketing Manager and Team Leader, maintain an editorial calendar for assigned publications.
c. Create, edit, and manage the production of assigned content, regardless of distribution channel, that is consistent with the Wellmark's brand, voice and tone.Write clear, concise, results-oriented copy for a variety of communication mediums. Proofread all copy/content thoroughly and edit material in accordance with Wellmark and AP style manuals. Also serves as fact-checker for content and ensures proper use of licensed content where applicable.
d. Collaborate with creative and digital teams to produce and distribute content.
e. Identify appropriate indicators that measure success of the content strategy. Track metrics and provide consultation based on those metrics to help guide future strategies.
f. Demonstrate understanding of Wellmark business processes and apply that knowledge to content marketing strategies and tactics.
g. Must comply with Iowa and South Dakota insurance regulations, NCQA regulations, and any other applicable regulatory authority. Coordinate production and timely delivery of elements of the content marketing strategy, following document workflow, production cycles and approval processes. Maintain detailed project and tracking documentation.
h. Other duties as assigned.
