The Facebook Family of Apps Commerce group brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of social media and shopping. We are building the tools and experiences that bring new shopping technologies to the market. We are seeking a Consumer Product Marketing Manager to join our Facebook Family of Apps Commerce team.The Consumer Product Marketing Manager is an integral role to the Facebook Family of Apps Commerce teams. We are looking for an experienced marketing professional to join our team who is passionate about social commerce, commerce innovation and trends, and transforming the future of shopping. This person will be responsible for leading Commerce initiatives that span across the Facebook Family of Apps: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.Our ideal candidate will combine cultural curiosity around the trends and drivers shaping customer behaviors today and in the future, strategic vision and communication skills, and expertise applying design thinking to business problems. They bring analytical rigor, solid and applied understanding of consumer and market dynamics, and brand and product knowledge. They have a portfolio of experience in developing and driving brand communication strategy and e-commerce marketing plans with an eye on outcomes and application. They will be adept at balancing the need for exceptional work while keeping up with the pace of an organization famous for moving fast.The ability to think broadly about business and people problems at a range of zoom levels, solve through insight-fueled, measurable strategy, and communicate widely is key to success in this role. It will be critical that this person is able to unify teams around a strategic north star in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment.
Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new Commerce features, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to determine effective launch strategies, including rollout sequencing and creative asset development, and communication goals to drive key metrics.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams to conduct research to understand consumer needs, influence the product strategy, and secure alignment across teams.
Be at the forefront of Commerce trends by conducting market analysis and competitive benchmarking, and translating learnings into actionable insights to shape the product roadmap and marketing plans.
Lead initiatives that guide Commerce and span across the Facebook Family of Apps: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.
Develop the Commerce marketing plan including budget forecasting.
Tackle complex problems with a strategic mindset, and create thoughtful recommendations and action plans for solving those problems.
Be willing and able to flex between strategic and tactical/executional responsibilities.
7+ years of professional experience with 4+ years experience working in consumer marketing
Experience in product marketing or equivalent function (partnered with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements), and brand strategy
Experience in e-commerce
Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders with project management skills
Experience developing clear messaging and content for multiple audiences
Experience partnering with research teams to conduct and analyze qualitative and quantitative research
Experience conducting competitive analyses and market research to develop actionable insights
Experience at large global client/brand or agency
Experience with building marketing plans and budget forecasting
Experience in global marketing (EMEA and APAC)
