Acxiom LLC Consultant II in Des Moines, Iowa

The Acxiom Strategy Team is looking for individuals who are passionate about data from a strategic approach and value a hands-on data analysis. The team is seeking consummate professionals that will contribute to a growing consulting services organization. This person must have significant experience overseeing development, sales and delivery aspects of leading ‘data first’ consulting engagements.

Our customers are looking for strategic guidance that blends data, analytics and organizational design to maximize opportunities for deepening customer engagement while navigating privacy and data ethics considerations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Delivery Skills

  • Create data strategy engagement deliverables and present them to client teams. These include current state assessments, future state visions, gap analysis, prioritization matrices, roadmaps and summaries of best practices

  • Strong ability to listen, write and present ‘data first’ solutions that match to client situations

  • Develop sales presentations and materials and participate in the process of listening to client opportunities and developing solutions

  • Serve as a team player conducting research, interviewing clients, writing deliverables, summarizing sessions, leading client meetings, and applying frameworks to analyses

  • Project Management

  • Create project timelines with resource plans and pricing

  • Manage projects to plan, accounting for difficulties that may arise, summarizing issues and driving action items to completion

  • Strategic Leadership

  • Identify, diagnose and solve client challenges

  • Leverage and exercise industry and technology expertise

  • Maintain working knowledge of data analysis techniques

  • Willingness to take on internal projects that develop consulting solutions and skills

  • Willingness to assist with sales research, approaches and presentations

  • Curiosity and desire to learn new skill sets including data analytics, technology and business acumen

  • Management consulting experience a plus

Key Requirements

  • Corporate experience 5 + years in business environment with a focus in a specific function like marketing, analytics or product development. We’re looking the ability to dive deep in a specific area of expertise. We look for the ability to extrapolate experiences and explore how those experiences apply to and solve other business problems

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management plus leading large programs and implementation projects in the technology arena

  • Excellent writing skills – need ability to write proposals and create solid detailed deliverables

  • Solid client-facing skills – interviewing, influencing, meeting and workshop orchestration, inductive/deductive reasoning, data analysis, and presentations to executive audiences

  • Functional knowledge of key data and analytics technologies and capabilities

  • Exhibits fundamental data analysis skills as well as professional usage of common document and presentation software

  • Experience in multiple data areas a strong plus:

  • Privacy

  • Unification and Identity

  • History of conducting assessments and providing recommendations across industries is desired

  • Ability to travel to client sites- up to 70% (post pandemic)
