Key Responsibilities

· Assist Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in gathering medical history information and

taking vital signs.

· Documents patient information for medical record including vital signs, height, and weight.

· Assist Physicians and nursing staff members with procedures when necessary.

· Transport patients safely using appropriate equipment.

· Assist with stocking and cleaning clinic equipment and supplies.

· Follow emergency procedures including CPR when necessary.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Knowledge of basic nursing skills with emphasis on activities of daily living.

· Demonstrate the skill in appropriately taking vital signs and weights. · Demonstrate the skill in effectively transferring and transporting patients. · Demonstrate the ability to maintain a safe, organized examination area. · Ability to respond flexibly to changing workload or patient assignments. · Ability to use department supplies and equipment in a cost-efficient, effective manner. · Ability to communicate effectively as a health care team member. · Ability to demonstrate full range of motion, eye–hand coordination, manual/finger dexterity and agility.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

a. Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Successful completion of state-approved certified nursing assistant training program required.

· Current/valid state issued Certified Nurse Assistant certification required.

· Basic Life Support (BLS) Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American

Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or Advanced Care Life Support

(ACLS) required.
