The Cell Culture Product Leader will be responsible for the development of GE’s investments in cell culture media, process liquids and buffers, serum, research products and related technologies. This individual will also develop and lead a team of product managers responsible for ownership of the product portfolio from the development of product roadmaps to organizational readiness and product/service delivery.
The Product Leader will work with peers in the product leadership team, the global commercial teams, global supply chain, the global marketing team and R&D to identify synergies and ensure alignment across programs and growth areas and ensure that growth targets are achieved.
•Employs industry trend analysis, market share and competitive analysis to support strategy development and measure execution performance
•Ensures goal alignment and tracks performance of the Cell Culture business with the regional and P&L stakeholders
•Assess competitiveness and drives clear plans to address gaps in our product portfolio
•Builds and coaches a strong team of product managers and application specialists that will be ready to step into future leadership positions in the organization
Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Management experience and experience having Product Manager direct reports.
Five to Seven years of experience in strategic marketing, product marketing or a related field in Life Sciences focusing on experience in BioProcessing, cell culture media and/or single use systems.
Experience working in cross-functional and diverse teams in a global setting
Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams
Influencing skills – ability to motivate individuals and demonstrate organizational influence
Strong analytical and process skills

MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
Eight to Ten years of progressive experience in marketing, product marketing or a related field in Life Sciences
Three to Five years of international management experience
Marketing experience in market & customer insights, product commercialization and branding
Innovation – ability to develop/execute on new ideas through collaboration
Strong analytical and process skills
