Mercy One Iowa Heart Center is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join its growing practice in Iowa City, IA. We offer a competitive compensation including sign on bonus, relocation allowance, paid malpractice and 401 (k) match.
Joining an office of 2 Interventionalists, 2 General Cardiologists, Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist, 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 3 Advanced Practice Clinicians and full clinic support staff.
50% clinic / 50% procedures
1/3 STEMI call
Provide general and clinical cardiology services with all forms of cardiac diagnostic testing including; Exercise/pharmacological stress testing, Echocardiography and Nuclear imaging
Hospital places greater than 300 PCI’s annually
10 county regional referral base
Fully integrated EMR with remote access

Iowa Heart Center was founded in 1970 and is one of the largest Cardiovascular, Cardiology & Vascular practices in the Country, with 52 Physicians on staff. Specializing in Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Advanced Heart Failure, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology and General Cardiology. Iowa Heart Center is comprised of 11 primary locations and 30+ outreach facilities, spanning across Iowa. We are an active participant in STS Registries (adult, congenital and anesthesia) and perform more than 10,000 cardiac interventions annually.
Mercy Iowa City, an affiliate of MercyOne, is a 234 bed acute care, Joint Commission accredited, Level III Trauma Center located in the heart of Iowa City, Iowa. Mercy has over 250 medical professionals and physicians. It’s a regional referral center that draws patients from throughout southeast Iowa. The hospital’s major services include 24 hour emergency care, heart and vascular care, orthopedic, maternity care, digestive services, cancer care and general surgery. Mercy has a recently enhanced Cath Lab with Azurion FlexArm in Iowa and will soon be updating their ECHO and Cardiac CT equipment.
