Principal Associate Accountant in Des Moines, Iowa
Principal Global Investors (PGI) investment accounting is looking for an Associate Accountant to join our Account Control and Analysis (ACA) team.
You'll perform daily and monthly reconciliation processes for investments. Work with team members to report accurate investment holdings and transactions each month end. You'll likely spend your time:
Reconciling investment activity including derivatives, cash, and trades
Analyzing asset level detail and payables/receivables tracking
Processing on the investment system
Posting journal entries for accurate monthly reporting
Using advanced Microsoft tools to perform work
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience required.
CPA or other applicable certifications preferred.
Previous accounting internship or work experience strongly preferred
Proven analytical, problem solving, time management, interpersonal and communication skills is required.
Detail oriented, able to maintain a high degree of accuracy, meet established deadlines, able to balance several tasks and prioritize effectively.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Basic Excel and PC skills required.
