Responsibilities

Lead a team to acquire, service, grow and retain profitable business through effective talent management, process improvement, workflow, metrics, business literacy and financial accountabilities.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Assist with development and execution of tasks within the strategic and operational plans for the department. Monitor results to ensure the plan meets organizational objectives, aligning resources to maximize their potential and drive initiatives.

  • Facilitate continuous performance and process efficiency improvement through identification, action planning and execution. Ensure proper metrics are in place to monitor the performance of the team and revise as needed to improve results.

  • Lead and direct team members, including hiring, training, talent management, compensation administration, rewards and recognition, performance management, coaching and mentoring. Take appropriate and timely disciplinary action. Provide ongoing team member business literacy, skill and competency development and motivation, facilitating learning with the team.

  • May assist with development of the divisional budget. Manage team to meet/ exceed goals within budget.

  • Partner with other departments in resolving, clarifying and responding to complex questions. Represent the business area in meetings, presentations, planning and/or projects.

  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications

Skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 8 years’ experience.

  • 4+ years functional experience required. (insurance customer service or financial services work experience preferred).

  • Formal leadership experience ire required.

Successful candidates will have the following:

  • Requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills as well as basic presentation skills.

  • Good mentoring, facilitation, and leadership skills needed as well as high growth potential in a leadership capacity.

  • Must also possess strong interpersonal, organizational/leadership and negotiation skills.

  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

  • Strong understanding of business and customer service requirements.

  • Loma certification may be helpful.

  • Will become a registered rep and obtain an active FINRA Series 6. If you do not have an active FINRA Series 6, active licensing must be obtained within 6 months from start date.
