The Pricing Specialist is a key driver in SEF Industrial’s future profitability and success. This position will be an integral business partner responsible for supporting the commercial team, measuring key pricing initiatives, and driving good decision-making. Working across multiple functions, the candidate will have a high level of comfort with all levels of the organization to communicate concepts and strategies.

This position will be responsible for executing pricing improvement activities including data analytics, price strategy optimization, margin improvement initiatives, and effectiveness of pricing promotions.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute pricing strategies and develop repeatable processes to manage pricing initiatives within relevant channels

  • Collaborate with the commercial sales team and leverage best practices to optimize pricing strategies

  • Use data to support pricing decisions and recommendations

  • Proactively develop solutions for pricing initiatives and identify areas for improvement

  • Partner effectively with key stakeholders in commercial, marketing, finance, and operations to drive business results

  • The ability to translate pricing/costing data into commercially viable solutions and communicate to cross-functional stakeholders

  • Receive, analyze, and process in a timely manner all quotation requests from the commercial sales team

  • Monitor and report quotation volumes, turnaround times and win rate statistics

  • Maintain list price and tier price structures for book and contract pricing

    Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-4 years of pricing or related experience in sales, marketing, or finance. Experience with Industrial business segment is a plus.

  • Ability to manage large datasets and synthesize data into actionable insights

  • The ability to provide technical solutions and facilitate problem solving in a group setting

  • Thorough understanding of price and margin calculations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Powerpoint)

  • Experience with dashboarding / visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI) and Quotation Tools (e.g. Salesforce.com)

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer degree In Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
