Midwest Alarm -CAD Operator
CAD Operator (part time) - Midwest Alarm Services
The CAD Operator is responsible for assisting the Project Coordinator in the preparation of submittal data and drawings, electronic calculations, CAD drawings, and overall project management. This position takes direction from the Project Coordinator and Sales Representative.
*Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Develop and create job submittals as required by specification for each job sold by the assigned Sales Representative.
Responsible for timely completion and shipping of drawings and submittals.
Responsible for e-filing of all project submittal data and drawings.
Assist and support Midwest technicians in the field with project information.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Midwest Alarm Services internal/external customers (including, but not limited to: current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes.

As this position develops, the employee may be assigned additional duties or special projects as deemed necessary by management.

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Some technical training and/or education in CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) is preferred.
Technical aptitude a plus.
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, blueprints and project specifications, fire codes, and/or governmental regulations.
Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Coordinators, clients, customers, and the general public.
Must be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
