Robert Half is partnering with a reputable Not For Profit who is looking for a Human Resource Manager to join their leadership team due to an upcoming retirement. The Human Resources Manager oversees all HR functions and is mainly responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating policies and programs concerning employment, employee benefits, wage and salary administration, and employee services. In addition, this position performs specialized and complex administrative job duties to ensure a smooth, efficient, and professional business environment exists for the company. As a member of leadership, you will have an instrumental role in company decision making, be a strategic partner, and have the ability to make a large impact both within the organization and the community. Human Resource Manager Responsibilities:
Serve as advisor and/or consultant to management on a range of HR issues, policies and procedures, corrective action, etc. to ensure consistency and understanding of rules and regulations.
Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with State and Federal laws.
Monitor management and employees’ compliance to these policies.
Assist the CEO and Management Team in filling vacant or new employment positions
Provide new employee orientation and benefit administration
Maintain database of staff compliance in mandatory abuse, licensure, etc. and distribute list annually to supervisors for training if necessary.
Understand and maintain strong working knowledge of Workers Compensation, FMLA, HIPAA, Unemployment, ACA, ADA and COBRA laws.
Requirements
Human Resource Manager Requirements:
7+ years of recent, all encompassing HR experience
1+ years of supervisory experience in and HR capacity
Excellent multi-tasker who is willing to help out wherever is needed
Strong knowledge in Workers Compensation, FMLA, HIPPA, Unemployment, ACA, ADA, and COBRA laws
Passion for helping others
Ability to interact with a wide variety of personality types and employees at all levels
Proficient in MS Office Suite and working in a paperless environment
Bachelors degree is preferred, but not required
