Hose Products Division is a manufacturer of hydraulic hoses, fittings, accessories and equipment. We have the largest selection of hydraulic hose, pneumatic hose, and more fitting sizes and configurations than any other manufacturer.
The Parker Hose Products Division plant in Davenport, Iowa supplies hose assemblies to a variety of customers in the Midwest, North and West regions of the U.S. The plant utilizes state of the art equipment and processes with hose and metal fittings supplied from other Parker locations to build assemblies that meet or exceed all customer specifications. Our main customers include original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Toro, John Deere, Caterpillar, Navistar, Genie, Nacco and Agco.
JOB DESCRIPTION (General): Coordinates and performs hose assembly operation, hose flushing and testing of hose products and ensures standard work process is followed, in a Work Center team environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Operates manufacturing equipment, including set-up • Performs daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment • Conducts in-process inspection and enters work order data into router • Accounts for and properly disposes of scrap • Communicates work flow problems and equipment needs to Team Lead and/or Supervisor • Understands and supports Corporate initiatives such as LEAN • Exercise good housekeeping in work area 5S plus Safety • Overtime as deemed necessary • Support and participate in Parker’s “Lean” initiatives. Keep work area, clean and organized. • Follow safety requirements and promotes sound safety practices; report all accidents and unsafe conditions and wear all Personal Protective Equipment. • Support and commitment to Parker’s Code of Ethics. • Follow all department policies and procedures. • Attendance and punctuality is required. • Responds and performs all tasks as assigned by the team lead or supervisor. • Other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS: • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent required. • Prefer some manufacturing/assembly experience. • Able to effectively communicate with other operators. • Excellent interpersonal and teambuilding skills. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Basic computer skills, reading and writing knowledge. • Basic understanding of shop math and measuring skills, including the ability to convert fractions and decimals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly. • Exert 25-80 pounds of force occasionally and/or exert 10-25 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
