B Shift (United States of America)
This position will perform troubleshooting and repair and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. The position is a technical career position in Tyson Foods, Inc. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including a thorough understanding of electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes. The ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of management and operations is required.
Education: Prefer combination of formal post-secondary or military training in a technical field such as electronics or industrial maintenance
Experience: 2+ years of experience as an industrial technician in the last four years. Prefer experience with basic operation and configuration of industrial controls including PLC based systems computer skills
Communication Skills: Must have good communications skills. Must be able to understand technical and training manuals.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system that includes receiving and accounts payable; Competent in Windows-based software such as Microsoft Excel and Word and the ability to learn Tyson SAP-Plant Maintenance system in 90 days.
Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
Special Skills: Must be able to interpret basic machine electrical schematics.
