The purpose of this position is to monitor construction projects for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a highly motivated Project Manager focused on Data Center Network Infrastructure Design, you will leverage your experience and technical expertise to support complex project design and constructability efforts with cross-functional teams as well as consultants. While ensuring requirements are feasible and adhered to, you’ll work closely with internal and external partner teams to support projects through the entire project design lifecycle with consistency and quality via the deliverables. Project teams can span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the stakeholders informed on the aspects of the project that you have responsibility. Using your extensive technical expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities for improvement and driving the technical requirements of the various stakeholder teams. You'll have experience managing large scale technical projects in a rapidly changing industry, be able to tolerate ambiguity and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities with limited oversight.
Additional responsibilities include:
Support cross-functional partner teams and site-based execution teams through SME technical guidance
Be responsible for gathering internal requirements and delivering solutions that satisfy stakeholder's needs
Technical Skills and Requirements:
Design and construction project management experience with fiber optic systems and l ow voltage telecom/security, preferably in the data center environment
Experience reviewing construction documents for technical accuracy and feasibility
Demonstrated ability to work with internal/external cross-functional and partner teams to ensure consistent deliverables, with a focus on cost, schedule, constructability, and quality
Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling and achieving objectives on schedule.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum four or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience focused on telecommunications, l ow-voltage, security, fiber optic systems, etc.
RCDD, PMP, or similar industry certifications strongly desired
Previous data center experience strongly desired
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Licensure as either a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.
Knowledge of the entitlement/permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements. Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types and systems. Passion for being detail oriented and highly organized.

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
