Must be willing to teach a variety of methodologies: face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and video conferencing. Assignments may also include teaching at multiple sites during the course of a semester. This instructor will also be responsible for course instruction and classroom management. Duties include, but are not limited to, teaching classroom and laboratory sessions, curriculum development/restructuring, committee assignments, student academic advising, student recruitment, assessment of student learning, responsibility for materials and supplies, and budget management. All candidates interviewed will be required to provide a teaching demonstration.less thanbr>less thanbr>Required Qualifications:iThe department is seeking qualified individuals with experience in various programming languages including the following:less thanbr>i Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in information technology.iless thanbr>i Experience with Java, C#, Objective Oriented programming languagesless thanbr>i Proficiency with database systems, design andiSQLless thanbr>i Experience in mobile application developmentless thanbr>i Knowledgeable iniHTML,iCSS, JavaScript, jQuery andiPHPless thanbr>less thanbr>Preferred Qualifications:ii Prior Information Technology industry experienceless thanbr>i Prior community college teaching experienceless thanbr>i Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.less thanbr>i Effective organizational skills, particularly as they relate to the teaching-learning process.less thanbr>i Capable of creating a classroom and lab environment, which is conducive to student learning.less thanbr>i Strong motivation to work/serve under-prepared students.less thanbr>i Ability to work with diverse populations.less thanbr>less thanbr>Additional Qualifications:iInclude occasional lifting of 10 pounds, the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, ability to work with diverse populations, and work is performed in a classroom environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and use a phone, and some travel by vehicle may be required. Reading, writing, calculating, and working with minimal supervision, a high degree of problem-solving, organizational skills, and high degree of inter-personal skills preferred.
