Aerotek Building Engineer in Council Bluffs, Iowa
We are currently looking for a building engineers in the Omaha and Council Bluffs
area. Engineers are encouraged to apply. Experience is being looked for. There
are two spots open. The first spot is a Monday through Friday position that
starts at 8AM and goes to 5PM. For this spot, this individual must be flexible
because the start time can change depending on what is needed for that week.
The other spot is a rotating schedule (3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off) meaning that
you would be working every other weekend. Must be CFC certified. Must be certified
in one of the following : electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration
systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry,
or engine repair.
In this position, this individual will be doing anything and everything that would
need to be done concerning keeping a data center up and running. You will be
writing routine reports and you must be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints
from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. You must be able to effectively
present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
Basic math is required as well as a basic understanding of financial terms and
principles. There is a need for an intermediate understanding of analytical
skills.
In this position, this individual will be required to use a personal computer and/or
PDA for work order systems, email, ESS and training. Must posses an
understanding of Microsoft Outlook. Physical requirements included stooping,
standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift and carry
50Ibs or more.
This individual will be performing complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair
of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. This individual
will be working under limited supervision so they will be expected to be able to
complete all tasks on their own. Will be using many skills from carpentry,
plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. This induvial will
be inspecting buildings fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of
equipment is within design capabilities and achieve environmental conditions
prescribed by client. This individual will also be overseeing outside
contractors hired to work on projects. Will be completing maintenance and
repair records and reviews assigned work orders.
This individual will order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks
and maintain all the buildings lighting system which included element and
ballast repairs or replacements. Welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and
locksmith tasks will be required when needed.
Higher level candidates are encouraged to apply. This job will pay $27-$30 an hour.
