Position Overview:

As the Director of Tax, you will be a key member of our finance leadership team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for our organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute tax strategies that align with our business objectives, minimize tax liabilities, and support sustainable growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's financial success in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize the company's overall tax position, including managing effective tax rates, tax planning initiatives, and transfer pricing strategies.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations, including overseeing the preparation and filing of tax returns, reports, and payments.

Provide guidance and leadership on tax matters to senior management, including assessing the tax implications of business decisions, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Stay informed of changes in tax legislation and regulations, assessing their potential impact on the company and recommending proactive strategies to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities.

Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and government agencies, ensuring timely and accurate communication and collaboration.

Build and develop a high-performing tax team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required, MST or JD/LLM in Taxation preferred.

Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in tax planning, compliance, and reporting, preferably in a publicly traded company or public accounting firm serving publicly traded clients.

Strong technical expertise in corporate taxation, including a deep understanding of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.

Proven track record of developing and implementing tax strategies that drive value and minimize risk.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and communicate insights effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
