Overview

Responsibilities

GENERAL SUMMARY :

The Grant Project Manager will provide leadership and project management in the implementation of the grant held by MercyOne Population Health Services Organization (PHSO). The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the award project at the operational level. He/She will work with Network and / or Health System members to manage resources and oversee finances to ensure the project progresses on time and on budget. In conjunction with the clinical teams at Network and / or Health System facilities, the Project Manager will work to improve the patient outcomes as described by the grant protocol. This position will complete the reporting requirements and ensure compliance of the grant held by MercyOne PSHO. This includes coordination of the Grant Funding Agency and MercyOne Foundation expectations for managing grants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings for the grant.

  • Provide oversight and leadership to Network and / or Health System stakeholders as directed by the grant expectations.

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete grant records, ensuring grant expenditures are properly supported and approved and that all required reports are accurate and submitted on time.

  • Build positive working relationships with Network and / or Health System members to support successful grant outcomes.

  • Perform administrative functions to drive the promotional objectives of the grant.

  • Review and approve invoices and documentation for reimbursement of grant funds and ensure payments are made as outlined in grant agreements.

  • Assist with ongoing and close-out reporting requirements to the Grant Funding Agency.

  • Maintain detailed financial grant records as directed by the Grant Funding Agency and the health system parent organization, as well as to be available on demand in the event of an independent audit by funder.

  • Participate in an annual single audit for federal funds as needed.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Project Management experience.

  • Two years of experience in grants accounting and/or coordinating federally funded programs preferred.

  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills required.
