Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US DoD CONOPS and position, navigation and timing (PNT) for military GPS systems requirements. Particularly a background in ground embedded and mounted PNT systems in the US Army, US Air Force and US Navy is desirable. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the US DoD requirements, budget and procurement processes, and be comfortable interacting with DoD subject matter experts in all areas of the acquisition process. Experience with organizations such as the US Army APNT CFT, PM PNT, and industry primes is desired. The position is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but we are open to remote working options for the right candidate.


  • The successful candidate will work in conjunction with program management and engineering leads, to uncover, pursue and capture new business in the military GPS ground market.

  • Responsible for developing, forecasting, and capturing new opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing customers.

  • Develops and presents compelling strategic and business growth opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis via decision point reviews.

  • Continually scans the environment for business and strategic growth opportunities.

  • Leading and working cross-functional, cross-enterprise teams.

  • Prepares and supports company profiles on competitors and potential acquisition candidates, including financial analyses.

  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in the area of expertise. Represents organization as a prime contact on projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of multiple factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, where erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would have a serious impact on the organization.

  • Normally receives minimal supervision on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.

  • Skills: Well versed in Microsoft Office products. Experience with SalesForce CRM tool is a plus but not required.

  • Willing to travel; approximately 75%.

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • Current US DoD security clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience through a combination of military, government and/or defense electronic industry positions.

  • Strong background in military GPS systems, receivers, capabilities, technologies and Assured PNT. Professional and well-spoken presentation skills are mandatory. Experience leading a fast paced, dynamic team chasing business around the globe.

  • Passion to lead and grow the business.

  • Do you have experience managing customer requirements and developing a path to market strategies?

  • Do you have a GPS technical background and an understanding of the GPS threat environment? (Keep explanation unclassified).

  • Do you have experience with developing requirements and product development roadmaps?

  • Summarize your experience developing requirements or roadmaps to support military GPS capabilities in support of ground embedded and dismounted CONOPs? Elaborate on Military GPS ground customer experience.

  • Summarize your experience presenting complex topics to leadership and/or customers?
