job summary:

Overview

Position requires developing technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform to satisfy the business needs of the IT department and beyond. Apply innovative technology to business processes in order to develop new solutions and troubleshoot issues as well as advising on options, risk and impacts on business processes and technical architecture. Design and review new requirements and new features based on business needs in addition to creating and/or reviewing various ServiceNow objects, data integrations, and reports using ServiceNow platform.

responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Overall administration and maintenance of all deployed ServiceNow modules

  • Coordinating integrations with applications such as Active Directory, in house, and COTS developed

  • Provide consultation of ServiceNow functionality

  • Establish and drive ServiceNow configuration standards

  • Facilitate and test all system updates and configuration changes

  • Ensure configuration consistency across development, test and production environments

  • Implement planned ServiceNow changes

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving ability

  • Prepare requirement specifications and design documents

  • Participate in design review with other team members

  • Effectively manage and prioritize implementation tasks effectively

  • Meet with stakeholders to understand needs

  • Work with IT Leadership to plan execution flow and timeline

  • Improve project delivery and provide recommendations for process improvement

qualifications:

Required

  • Candidates should have actual ServiceNow Admin experience (as opposed to experience managing and maintaining hardware/software)

  • BS Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 3+ years of IT experience

  • 3+ years of ServiceNow administration and development experience

  • Experience architecting and designing implementations with the ServiceNow ITSM platform with an emphasis on Service Catalog, Service Portal, Service Mapping, Discovery, and CMDB required

  • Experience developing for the ServiceNow Platform using JavaScript, CSS, HTML and Other Web Based scripting required

  • Experience with modern and relevant web technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, AngularJS, etc.) and of working in a PaaS or SaaS environment.

  • Basic understanding of Integration methods and capabilities (REST, SOAP, JDBC)

  • Excellent verbal/written communication, excellent attention to details, ability to multitask, effective time management skills, and commitment to quality

  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and well organized; able to work under pressure to tight deadlines

  • Demonstrated consulting expertise (gather requirements, problem solve and recommend) in mid-sized and large customer environments
