Terex Corporation Service Manager in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Maintain a strong safety culture and facilitate technician involvement in safety programs and roadmaps
Promote and consistently enforce company and MSHA safety regulations and requirements
Coordinate the activities of a dedicated service team delivering first class service to our dealers and customers
Deliver product training on site and in a classroom environment
Provide on-site troubleshooting assistance when necessary to perform root cause analysis on complicated issues and ensure minimal downtime of customer machines
Collaborate with Engineering & Quality Teams to ensure that any issues identified in the field are reviewed as part of continuous product improvement
Ensure product safety, function and reliability are the focus of communications with the factory engineering and quality departments
Daily monitoring of helpdesk activities to ensure all dealer and customer requests are responded to within an acceptable timeframe
Proactively manage all helpdesk cases and ensure that they are assigned appropriately within the helpdesk system to the correct team member
Collaborate with Service, Engineering & Operation teams to ensure referral of all issues are properly logged and dealt with on a timely basis so ongoing improvements can be made accordingly
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure the “Voice of the Customer” is integral to the development of design specifications for new product and modifications to existing products
Identify any design and technology alternatives to help resolve field issues ensuring appropriate maintenance and ongoing improvements are carried out to current models
Provide the dealer network with the required technical support that they require to ensure that they are completely satisfied with their Terex product
3+ years experience within Service supervising a team in the heavy equipment industry
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Associate or bachelors degree with mechanical or electrical background
3+ years experience in large equipment, maintenance and product support
Computer literate in MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to effectively lead, influence and communicate with others both internally and externally
Excellent communications skills with both internal and external customers.
Experience in creating and implementing Service Dept procedures to drive continuous improvement
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Technically minded and ability to troubleshoot problems
