We are currently searching for a Principal Program Manager in our Connected Domain Solutions (CDS) Portfolio to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Job Summary:

The CDS Portfolio is looking for a passionate business leader to guide the capture, development, and execution of our Collins Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Solution. The role will require working with Commercial and Department of Defense (DoD) end customers as well as OEMs, Industry Partners, and internal stakeholders to develop industry leading solutions.

Key Responsibilities include:

Develop and execute business plans and strategies to grow the ABMS business as part of an overarching business strategy.

Make decisions within the context of long-term strategic goals and objectives.

Lead pursuit and order capture activities, including strategy development, customer contact and influence, proposal development, and negotiation.

Set operational strategies and plans with direct impact on results.

Lead program execution (NRE development and recurring hardware sales), meeting financial, technical and schedule objectives

Run a profitable and predictable business through accurate forecasting, on-time deliveries, and management of risks and opportunities.

Serve as a primary customer contact for program activities.

Coordinate with Engineering, Business Development, and fellow Program Managers to develop and leverage product line solutions and capabilities.

Contribute to the development of the ABMS Strategic Financial Plan and Annual Operating Plan.

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance (Active clearance preferred, US Citizenship required).

Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.

Experience with CMS or RC-MAP and RC-IPM processes, preferred.

Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team in a matrix environment.

Demonstrated ability to influence others and confidently present to Senior Leadership.

Ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the industry and the customers.
