Facility Project Manager,Assoc
Location: IA - Cedar Rapids
Manages company assets associated within our Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Kansas City, and Oklahoma offices. Identifies and fixes any maintenance issues that may occur. Coordinates with Senior Leadership on larger capital projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for monitoring and reporting on all facility and maintenance related aspects of the assigned offices
Ensures all systems function as intended
Performs major and/or minor maintenance and repairs
Assists in managing capital, coordinating operations and maintenance projects by keeping senior leadership updated on all aspects
Meets with contractors when applicable to analyze scope of work to be performed, establishes schedules and oversees/monitors contractors during the work
Ensures appropriate preventive maintenance is performed on all major building systems; develops and continually reviews preventive maintenance procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness, visits sites for quality control and addresses any issues/questions that arise
Serves as the technical expert for trouble shooting problems
Provides prompt, 24 hour a day response to resolve any issues with the operation of building systems as well as the normal day-to-day operation of the offices
Provides oversight and guidance to any contractors brought onsite
Conducts building audits to verify all systems are both functional and grounds/buildings are well maintained; works with senior leadership to report any kind of space or mechanical demands
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, Facility Management, or related degree preferred.
Knowledge of construction and maintenance requirements demonstrated by a minimum of three (3) or more years of experience organizing, planning and successfully scheduling facility construction and/or maintenance projects; also has experience in facilities management within a corporate environment .
Possesses a good understanding of operational concerns associated with maintaining a facility
Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
Must have a thorough understanding of operational and safety concerns associated with maintaining a facility.
Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and/or projects concurrently
Excellent problem solving skills and commitment to customer service.
Must be willing and able to respond to calls outside the regular hours of work
Excellent project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to prioritize and schedule own workload and willingness to travel to other work locations
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
Experience with the operation of computer-controlled HVAC systems is preferred
A valid driver’s license is required
