Central Iowa Power Cooperative Data Services Coordinator in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) is currently searching for a Data Services Coordinator to join the team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This position assists in coordinating and executing the day-to-day activities of the data services team responsible for CIPCO's energy translation systems to ensure billing timeliness and accuracy and provides level one technical support of computer applications and hardware.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating and executing the day-to-day work of the Data & Information Services; provide support and guidance to team members; and escalate issues to ensure issue resolution.
Provide level one technical support of computer applications and hardware including troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues throughout the organization.
Maintain a troubleshooting tracking log ensuring timely resolution of problems.
Coordinate translation and process CIPCO system and customer billing meters
Coordinate the preparation of the monthly operating report summarizing demand and energy data by substation and cooperative; oversee the preparation of demand and energy data for cooperative power bills.
Interface with member system personnel and vendors.
Prepare reports as requested by cooperative personnel, member systems, or other utilities.
Write and run specialized programs in Excel and ITRON platforms such as MV-90xi and MV-Web.
Update and organize documentation related to the monthly translation process.
Collaborate with the Manager of IT Service Operations to develop and implement a modern reporting platform for department data.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Associates degree from an accredited vocational technical training facility or an area community college with a minimum 2 years analyst experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Self-starter with a high level of initiative
Effective time management and prioritization skills
Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Experience with supporting software, hardware, and networks
Experience with Excel Macros and/or VBA (Visual Basic Applications)
Willingness to learn and program in industry-specific platforms
