Rockwell Collins is looking for a Construction Management Intern versed in construction sequencing, site management and safety. Individual should be familiar with managing construction sites, processes and standards. Individual will be expected to act as a role model for others in regards to Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) initiatives.
Follow the priorities assigned by leader to complete all necessary tasks related to major construction projects and renovation.
Assist in the monitoring and tracking of project costs and schedule.
Take part in reviewing bid versus actuals data.
Help assigns projects and tasks to team based on Construction Manager guidance.
Review and help ensure sites\projects meet safety policies and procedures. Help monitor workplace training and safety plans.
Work directly with contractors and professionals working in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, and general maintenance trades.
Review and provides input to organizational policies relevant to the facilities department.
Provide input for strategic planning and expansion plans and participate on the definition of the metrics for the maintenance department.
Participate in and\or lead daily meetings with construction crews to strengthen confidence and sense of continuous improvement.
Work directly with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of needed materials.
Must be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
US Citizenship is required.
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Pursing a Construction Management or similar degree.
Highly Cooperative - Takes personal initiative to proactively serve as team motivator.

Dependable – Will follow up and follow through on all tasks with high levels of accuracy.
