Responsibilities

• Develops and implements business approaches and strategies.

• Ensures business rules and practices are followed for all major processes in order to ensure standardization, consistency and compliance.

• Accountable for recruitment, management and retention of staff.

• Proactively develops strong relationships with the client / stakeholders to ensure client expectations are met / exceeded.

• Participates in quarterly and yearly business reviews and provide weekly/monthly briefings as required.

• Provides consultation to colleagues in order to solve account business issues.

• Responsible for managing supplier relationships

• Manages delivery of services, programs, and staff.

• Develops and oversees staff training and capacity building efforts

• Tracks the progress and performance of programs, offices, services, and staff as assigned.

• Reviews the performance of staff and provide coaching, including soft skills and technical training, for the purpose of assisting employees in improving their performance.

• Ensures compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations and contracted performance measures in day to day operations.

• Ensures all program performance metrics are met in achieving stated outcomes.

• Manages and tracks project budget and invoicing.

• Identifies trends in compliance issues and business practices.

• Ensures maintenance of standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related business discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Graduate degree preferred.

Experience:

• 5+ years relevant work experience as an operations manager or lead client account manager required, including management of subcontractors.

• Medicaid or other healthcare program integrity experience preferred.

• Proven experience successfully implementing and managing complex projects with multiple teams.

Required Skills:

• Excellent leadership, management, and written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of Medicaid program integrity operations.

• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

• Ability to engage and develop relationships with multiple agencies organizations, and stakeholders.

• Ability to work across all levels of management and staff.

• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with federal, state, and county agencies, as well as the general public.

Working Conditions:

• Hybrid Remote Schedule (1-2 days in office)

• Candidates MUST live within 2 hour driving distance to the Des Moines, IA office

• Candidates MUST be a resident of Iowa

• Travel may be required up to 10% for client meetings

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $120,000-$140,000 and a potential discretionary bonus o f up to 10%. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
