Occupational Health - Cedar Falls, IA

Full-time: Monday-Friday, Days

The Business Development Coordinator, is a member of the occupational health leadership team and is responsible for marketing the services provided by the department to clients and prospective clients and to solicit and obtain agreements for the provision of these services. To promote the department’s reputation for professionalism and excellence and to seek, understand, relay client information to appropriate department personnel.

  • Sets marketing goals and assists in developing yearly marketing/strategic clinic goals. The BDC meets weekly with the Occ Hlth Director to discuss sales activities, marketing materials and program ideas.

  • Liaison between the company and the clinic and will lead the process regarding client concern and opportunities process.

  • Works closely with other areas of the department including Wellness, On-Site Services, Drug and Alcohol Testing, etc and is knowledgeable in each area.

  • Markets existing products and services and develops and/ or assists in developing new products and services using appropriate mediums.

  • Keeps up-to date with changes in OSHA, workers compensation, FDA, FMLA, and DOT regulations, which can be shared with the companies.

  • Responsible for comprehensive sales for the occupational health program, including develop new business, marketing sales plans, prepare sales projections, promote programs as requested, such as Wellness and On-Site Services. Expectation of 20-25 on-site meetings monthly with clients and potential clients. Completes mailings and follow-up by phone/email or in person to discuss the different products available.

  • Organizes business/industry seminars and advisory meetings, health fairs, breakfast meeting, trainings, as needed/ called upon.

  • Maintains (including development and updating) marketing materials. Develop and distribute resource materials for companies.

  • Responsible for the writing, editing, and insuring distribution of the monthly occupational newsletter.

  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a degree in communication/sales, health promotion/management, business or public administration.

  • At least 1 year of health programming or sales experience and/or managerial capacity; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

  • Must be a self-starter, able to plan, organize, and manage schedule/programs.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills.
