       Description: Audio Visual Coordinator (Part-Time)Job Summary: To coordinate and direct the purchase, distribution, and maintenance of the Carroll Community School District’s audio-visual equipment and supplies so as to provide the best opportunities possible with the financial resources available, for students to experience learning to use non-print materials1. Coordinates the purchase of audio-visual equipment with the Technology Coordinator and the media specialists. 2. Provides minor maintenance (i.e., installation of new power cords, replacement of tubes, bulbs, etc.) on all audio-visual equipment belonging to the District. 3. Secures the necessary materials necessary to complete minor maintenance on audio-visual equipment. 4. Recommends to the building principal or media specialists whether malfunctioning audio-visual equipment should be repaired or discarded. 5. Assumes responsibility for the equitable distribution of audio-visual equipment on a needs basis. 6. Serves as a technical source to teachers in the operation of audio-visual equipment and the preparation of teacher-made audio-visual materials. 7. Assists the Director of Business Affairs in the updating and keeping of a continuous inventory of audio-visual equipment. 8. Supervises and coordinates the loan of school-owned audio-visual equipment. This responsibility may be delegated to the media specialists.9. Assumes responsibility for providing needed audio-visual equipment and materials for school functions other than regular classroom instruction (i.e., music programs, graduation, adult education evening classes, etc.) This responsibility may be delegated to the media specialists. 10. Serves as a member of the District Technology Committee. 11. Performs such other duties as the superintendent may assign.Qualifications:

  1. Course work in the care and use of audio-visual equipment and preparation of audio-visual materials.

  2. Member of the Carroll Community School District certificated staff.3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
