Position Title: Coord, Quality
Department: GHG Practice Site Operations
Purpose: Coordinates with the GHG Quality and Operations Committee Leadership to execute Genesis Health System and Accountable Care Organization quality initiatives, including recertification for Patient Centered Medical Home, that facilitate Optimal Populate Health
Responsible for reporting all GHG quality and safety issues, as well as recommending and implementing changes approved by the GHG Quality and Operations Committee. Accountable for quality of care concerns, including accurate and timely documentation.
Oversees the clinical quality of care review process, the medical record audit process for the delegation oversight quantitative analysis of data for presentation to appropriate health plan committees and regulatory agencies.
Maintains a highly functioning quality organization, characterized by teamwork, cooperation, efficiency, innovation, and excellence. Serves as a resource and internal consultant to Genesis Health Group Clinical staff and Providers with regards to facilitation performance improvement activities. Partners with the GHG Quality physician to perform peer reviews on GHG providers.
Provides guidance and direction to designated areas within GHG in monitoring measurement, analysis, and reporting performance improvements activities. Services and the GHG Safety Champion to lead GHG safety coaches.

Education: Associate's Degree
Field Of Study: Nursing
Training Preferred: Quality improvement, Coaching skills, Lean Experience, Business Communication, Project Management
Licensure/Registration: Registered Nurse in Iowa & Illinois
Experience: More than 2 years experience required.
Interpersonal Skills: Interaction is with a variety of people inside or outside the organization. Communications are of moderate difficulty and sensitivity. Contact with others may involve detailed & lengthy dialogues & exchanges of information. Requires a moderate amount of interpersonal skills. Interactions involve dealing with moderately complicated problem situations or stressful encounters.
Working Conditions: There is limited exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Some undesirable or unpleasant environmental characteristics may occur but the physical environment is generally safe and there is minimal health risk. No safety equipment or unusual precautions are required. The occasional exposure to these minor adverse conditions would be limited to 35% or less of the work day.
