Your Responsibilities

As a (Manufacturing Engineer) for (Des Moines Works) located in (Ankeny,IA), you will….

  • Identify and facilitate quality, safety/ergonomic improvement, and cost reduction strategies of moderate to large scope across multiple products

  • Lead cross functional teams in analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing and technology strategies across multiple products

  • Deliver new product and product update programs on target, on time and on budget including BOM structure, processes, work instruction, labor standards, 3D models, tooling

  • Engender an entrepreneurial mindset of creating a better business through Smart Connected Factory, innovation, and forward thinking.

What Skills You Need

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment

  • Strong data analysis skills – ability to create data a collection system, use data to perform descriptive; diagnostic; predictive or prescriptive analytics, and deliver appropriate output consumption tools to wide variety of stakeholders

  • Ability to create, improve or provide a high level of participation in a Team Setting.

What Makes You Stand

  • 2 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: Industrial, Product, Manufacturing, Quality, Electrical

  • Experience with engineering tools such as Creo, AutoCAD, Ignition, Python, MPP, JDAAT or Tableau

  • Experience with manufacturing process design, material presentation, 5S, tool design, continuous improvement, safety/ergo tactics, and quality improvement methodology

  • Experience or knowledge of Tillage

  • SAP knowledge of repetitive and discrete manufacturing- BOM writing and understanding, Shipping Line Up, C-Projects

In addition

  • Business acumen

  • Project Management Experience

  • Self-directed problem solving – ability to find and solve everyday problems on your own

  • Community Engagement – Increasing the Triple Bottom Line in the factory and out. Volunteering, involvement with Employee Resource Groups (ERG)

  • Experience or knowledge of environmentally sustainable manufacturing strategies

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial/Manufacturing/Systems, Robotic, or Electrical Engineering. Equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered
