UnityPoint Health Radiologic Technologist - Full Time Nights - 7 On then 7 Off in Anamosa, Iowa
Position Summary
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures within the boundaries of licensure and in compliance of all policies and procedures.
Position Accountabilities
Provides radiologic services for inpatients/outpatients.
Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered; ensures quality images.
Performs the duties of CT Technologist as needed/able.
Transfers, positions, and instructs patients regarding the procedure in order to obtain and effect the desired radiographic diagnostic results as specified by the physician.
Provides for the proper radiation safety for patients.
Communicates and interfaces with hospital personnel, patients, medical staff, and family members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
Secures and returns supplies such as film, linens, medicine, patient folders.
Participates in performance improvement program on a regular and continuing basis.
Prepares accurate and timely documentation during all shifts of duty as required by guideline protocols.
Communicates clearly and tactfully with patients and their families.
Attends staff meetings as required.
Maintains harmonious relationship with unit and co-workers, providing support and assistance to co-workers to ensure quality patient care.
Attends continuing education courses related to area of specialization to remain current in the field.
Consistently follows established protocols and procedures.
Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Completes variance reports according to policy.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Post High School/Vocational/Specialized Training
Current State Licensure
Able to operate Diagnostic Equipment
