Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Thielen Student Health Center (TSHC) is the primary provider of health care services for the students of Iowa State University. It provides primary health care, mental health services, laboratory and radiology services, pharmacy services and physical therapy. TSHC is a busy, full service, ambulatory clinic accredited by AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care) serving a diverse population.

TSHC is seeking physicians for current and future openings to provide high quality, full-service health care including preventive medicine, management of chronic diseases, and diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries for Iowa State University students and their spouses/domestic partners at the Thielen Student Health Center (TSHC). Physicians collaborate with mental health professionals, wellness center staff and other area health care providers.

Successful candidates will possess exceptional listening, oral, and written communication skills as well as problem solving ability.

Required Education and Experience

A doctor of medicine degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school, and a completed residency. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid, active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Iowa.

Experience with NextGen or other EMR software.
