Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Division of Materials Science and Engineering with Iowa State University at the Ames Laboratory, a Department of Energy National Laboratory affiliated with Iowa State University, is searching for a qualified Postdoctoral Research Associate.
The Emergent Atomic and Magnetic Structures group is seeking a motivated applicant to fill a postdoctoral research associate position with a focus on correlative analysis of organic-inorganic interfaces. This position is a four-month appointment through September 2019 with the possibility of renewal based upon funds availability and satisfactory job performance.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and communicate effectively.
Required Education and Experience
• Ph.D. must be completed prior to start date.
Preferred Education and Experience
• Ph.D. in material sciences, chemistry, or related field with experience in STEM • Experience using Focused Ion Beam and use of analytical microscopy techniques (EELS, EFTEM) • Demonstrated publication record • Demonstrated experience with Origin, Labview and Matlab
