Job Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Engineering Department is seeking a research associate to conduct research in the areas of deep reinforcement learning for decision and control in autonomous cyber-physical systems. The research will involve multiple application areas including cyber-agricultural systems, cyber-manufacturing systems and advanced computational material science. Apart from conducting research and authoring technical papers, the postdoc research associate will also be involved in writing research proposals, mentoring graduate and undergraduate students and helping the PI with teaching and other curricular activities.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent and with research experience in machine learning.
Research experience in deep learning and reinforcement learning for autonomous systems, experience in algorithm development, software implementation and analysis, authoring scientific articles in this area.
