Plumber/HVAC Technician

Location: Ames & DSM Metro Projects

Shift: 7:00am - 4:00pm / Monday - Friday / occasional OT on Saturdays when needed

Job Description:

• Assisting Journeyman with plumbing, HVAC, or Duct/Sheet metal work.

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems in residential or commercial settings.

• Tasks will include joining pipes or tubing to the equipment and to the fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form a complete circuit.

• The role also involves installing various ducts, duct fittings, and VAV's as required, and chilled and hot water piping for various HVAC Commercial or residential systems.

• Could be responsible for the installation of water mains, waste pipe, and plumbing fixtures on commercial projects, hanging steel supports for ceiling joists to secure pipes, and installing underground rough from the start to the finish phase of the job.

• Troubleshooting, drilling, and shaping materials such as pipes, ducts, and fittings.

Requirements:

• Valid DL and reliable transportation

• 6+ months experience: Plumbing - General Labor - HVAC - Sheet Metal - Construction

• Utilize hand and power tools

• Able to read and follow blueprints

• Ability to work independently
