Job Description:

The Natural Resource Ecology and Management (NREM) department and Entomology department at Iowa State University are seeking applicants for temporary field and laboratory positions.

Assist departmental research in either an outdoor setting in the field, or in a laboratory. Applicants working in the field should have the physical ability to work long hours outdoors, which may involve walking long distances, carrying field equipment in rough terrain, and/or wading through water. Field work will be completed in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.). Applicants working in the field must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license if travel is required.

Work hours to be arranged between 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Schedule may vary with workload and the weather. To not exceed 40 hours per week. This temporary position cannot work more than 780 hours/fiscal year and is not eligible for benefits. This position will be hired into the associated department. Supervisor, rate of pay and department will be discussed with each candidate
