Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience; OR a Master's degree and 2 years of related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience totaling 8 years unless otherwise specified under supplemental required education and experience. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position.

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors' degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, or a related field., Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, including PowerBI., Experience with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics., Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel., Experience with Salesforce and/or Pardot.

Job Description:

The Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS), at Iowa State University, is seeking qualified candidates for a Marketing Data Analyst. The Marketing Data Analyst will lead CIRAS’s efforts to improve our ability to serve Iowa businesses through improved awareness, marketing lead identification, and lead qualification.

The Marketing Data Analyst will be a key member of the CIRAS team and focused on growing our impact on Iowa industry including collecting, analyzing, and reporting on CIRAS-wide efforts from awareness building to client success. It also includes developing, implementing, and maintaining marketing automation to identify opportunities and connect CIRAS experts with business leaders. This position will involve extensive work in Salesforce and Pardot; social media, website, and email analytics tools; and, analyzing information from several sources using tools such as Excel and PowerBI.

The successful candidate will possess demonstrated experience in critical skills that include data analysis; detail orientation; project management; excellent verbal and written communication skills; exceptional critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills; advanced knowledge and skill to use a computer system and various business software tools; ability to deal with ambiguity; and strong time management skills. All staff members are expected to interact collegially and maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior.

The University is in the process of implementing a new classification and compensation structure. The impending change is expected to be completed by Fall 2020. Any P&S employee hired through this posting may be assigned a new title and associated pay grade upon the employment start date (and after the initial offer), commensurate with qualifications required for the position. The duties and responsibilities of the posted position, in addition to compensation offered, will not be affected by this process.
