Description
_Purpose of Position: _

The key responsibility of this position is to ensure our product(s) meet or exceed the quality expectations of our customers. This position provides technical support to Production, Research and Development, Compliance, the Business Units, and external customers.

Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.



*Essential Functions: * * Serve as a technical advisor for a focused area of manufacturing through the entire value stream, including but not limited to packaging, chemistry/micro, quality, stability, etc. This will include troubleshooting of product and procedural defects, investigating changes to formulary and control documents for ECO system, and assisting in the manufacturing of chemical reagents. * Continuous improvement of analytical methods for existing products. * Develop new analytical methods for new and existing products * Validate new products and confirm manufacturability. * Learn and apply DBS tools, Hach SQDIP metrics, and quality systems in support of improvement activities and implement root cause counter measures. Participate on Kaizen teams * Compliance with Company safety and good housekeeping policies. *Other Non Essential Functions: * * Assist in developing new production processes and equipment. * Perform non-routine analysis of raw materials and finished products.
* Participates on cross functional project teams * Performs other duties as required.

Qualification
Education, Background and Skill Requirements * 2-5 years of experience with BA/BS degree in applicable physical science (Chemistry or Microbiology depending on area of responsibility) or equivalent or an MS degree with 1 year chemical/microbiological manufacturing experience Skills:
* Excellent communications and instruction skills * Excellent writing and oral communication skills * Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management * Ability to apply scientific methods of reasoning and experimental design. * Understands and applies the tools of quality Knowledge: * * Working knowledge of clean room operations for Micro Area *ENVIRONMENT: Laboratory
