MercyOne Des Moines is seeking a Family Medicine Residency Faculty Member with a passion for teaching to join as Associate Program Director. Experience teaching in a Residency or Medical Student setting required. MercyOne offers competitive compensation with a $60,000 bonus, up to six figure NHSC student Loan Repayment paid malpractice, and 403b. Public Service Loan Forgiveness Eligible.

  • 7 full-time faculty including Program Director w/ Clinical Responsibilities

  • Partnered with Primary Health Care (FQHC)

  • 30 Residents

  • Flexible options including OB, inpatient, and outpatient

  • OB, Rural, and Integrated Medicine Track

  • No inpatient coverage requirements

  • Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine accredited

  • J1/H1B candidates encouraged to apply

MercyOne , which has faithfully served the central Iowa community since 1893, has a total of 875 beds and includes the MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center, MercyOne Children’s Hospital, MercyOne Centerville Medical Center and MercyOne Newton Medical Center. The MercyOne Children’s Hospital encompasses an 8-bed PICU, 44-bed Level III NICU, a level 2 trauma 12 bed Pediatric ED, and a 22-bed Medical Surgical Unit. Additionally, MercyOne Medical Center’s maternity care includes 15 dedicated labor suites and 40 private postpartum rooms. MercyOne Medical Center has a tertiary service area of 1.5 million. MercyOne Children’s is supported by several subspecialties including Cardiology, Neurology, Surgery and Gastroenterology.
